I do everything I can to keep this site up to date, convenient, and safe for my users. Security is handled by Website Protection Site Scanner staff, who warn me if I have used unhealthy links. I take this seriously, because I don’t want to be the source of malware and the like reaching my users. If I fail to fix a problem, I lose their banner, which you can find at the lower right, on the blog sidebar.

I created this page specifically for redirects from dead links. It is almost impossible to keep all links clean and up to date as a one-man operation. I do fix dead links as time permits. You can return to the main blog page by clicking this link.

If you really want to be directed to the target of the link you were attempting to reach, just send me an e-mail, at kevin.t.morgan@earthlink.net or make a comment on the comment stream of this page. It would be helpful if you could include the title of the blog post where the dead link resides, as I have over 600 posts, and they are added to almost daily.

I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.

Sincerely,

FitOldDog

    Hi,
In 2009 (after doing Lake Placid Ironman also) I had my bicuspid aortic valve and upper aorta replaced. Since then I have returned to training but with some caution. Cardiologists I’ve spoken with aren’t particularly concerned about wearing out the valve as much as the possibility of getting another aneurysm. (My upper aorta had dilated up to 5.3cm when replaced.) Wondering if you have any knowledge of chances of getting another aneurysm. Right now I’m very gradually building my training, thinking about doing a 70.3 next summer and a full 140.6 the year after that.

  5. Hi Richard, how about that.
I’ve been looking for another Ironman-aorta person. I thought they all died. You are doing remarkably well for what you’ve been through. If you want to talk, just e-mail (kevin.t.morgan@earthlink.net) or phone (919) 357-3226. I’m very pleased to hear from you. I have a stent, which I managed to displace, the final straw being my bike wreck in the 2013 Las Vegas 70.3 worlds. Just the luck of the sport. Are you interested in telling your story on my blog? It really helps others to have someone to talk to, who really understands.
How old are you, if I may ask. Have you read Benjamin Carey’s story?
I look forward to hearing from you,
    Kind Regards,
    Kevin
PS 2009, wasn’t that the year of the big rain? Froze my ass off, and now I always carry a small jacket on the bike.

  6. Hi Kevin,
I enjoyed reading about your information and research results about Plantar Fasciitis. Have you ever heard of the Cluffy P4 Wedge? Many, including myself have experienced quick relief to heel pain. I would love to send you a coupon code to try it out. I am always looking for more feedback for R&D.

    Great blog.

    • Hi! Christie, good to hear from you – coupon code would be great, for Doug. Send it, and I’ll pass it along.
Which link didn’t work? I recently reset permalinks, based on advice from an IT website, and it caused me all sorts of problems. Still dealing with over 1,000 404 errors. Ran out of redirects.
I’m in the midst of writing a white paper on the latest study results, to be followed by my recommended approach to therapy.
No, I haven’t heard of the Cluffy P4 Wedge. Send me a a free coupon, and I know just the person to test it. He’s had PF for 8 months, and I’m working with him to fix it. I learn from each case I study.
      Cheers,
      Kevin aka FitOldDog
