If you have an active life-style, which will get you out there doing things, you can enjoy seeing interesting places, having fascinating experiences, and meet good people, which is why we are camping in Red Rock Canyon as I prepare to compete in another Ironman race. It feels so good to make my tea in the morning, and no bugs, just wonderful feelings.

It was Deb’s idea to camp prior to this race, and I resisted at first, but fortunately Deb persisted – one of her most endearing and irritating traits. Irritating? Yes! Sometimes she proves me wrong! Then I see the light, and so here we are enjoying the scenery prior to the race.

No one is immune from misoneism, so beware.

  1. ‘misoneism’, hmmm… I love camping out in the wilderness; restores the soul and mind.

  2. how was the race?!

  3. Are you the same Kevin I ran into on the bike in Sunday?!

  4. Apart from the bike wreck it was fine, and even then I was run over by a nice guy. Times slow, but 2 weeks after Louisville not surprising, though my transitions were finally better, and I held the run throughout, picking up the pace at the end. See y’all soon.

  5. Yep! That’s me. I was a bit worried about your knee. Did you finish? Accidents happen, so don’t worry about that, and it makes great blogging materials around lessons learned. Let me know you’re OK. Cheers, Kevin

  6. I am so sorry. No, my pedal was broken and had to call it a day, but you sir, are a class act. Please accept my heartfelt apologies, I was trying to eat a bar and wasn’t being attentive while climbing that hill. I wrote a race report I partly as an effort to discover where I could find you on SlowTwitch and they directed me to your blog. It’s posted here, I think you have some new fans, myself included.

  7. You both, Bryan and Kevin, are class acts. I’m new fans of you both. Cheers and happy racing!

  8. Kevin Morgan is on Facebook. I’m surprised you couldn’t find him.

  9. Hi Brian, thanks for your kind words, but I’m just a regular guy enjoying the sport. I was sorry that my old body got in the way and took Bryan out of the race. Those are the breaks. We are just getting over massive hikes in Zion and Grand Canyon state parks. Great geology. Remarkable. Hope you’re having a good season. Time for dinner and a show. Cheers, Kevin

  10. There are a lot of Kevin Morgans on Facebook. Time for me to revisit my Fast Twitch site. It’s been a while. So many media, so little time.
