Incorporate Elliptical Trainer Sessions Into Your Vascular Disease Training

Incorporating Elliptical Trainer

Aortic disease requires a wise approach to training.

Incorporating elliptical trainer sessions into my ‘save my aorta’ training has the advantage of

  • Zero impact
  • Minimal hip flexion, with is good for the stability of my iliac artery stent grafts
  • Can do a whole-body workout
  • Progress is easily measured
  • Can provide a solid core strengthening aspect

My job is to stay fit, work back to Ironman if I can, and minimize risks to my distal aorta and the iliac artery branch stent grafts.

I find it useful to incorporate elliptical trainer sessions into my daily exercise routines.

Never give up.
